Job Title: Managing Director (MD) / Chief Executive Officer (CEO)

Location: Lagos Island, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Key Responsibilities

• Reporting to the Board of Directors, the Managing Director will have the responsibility to set the company as a leading provider of innovative investment and financial intermediation products, returning maximum profit commensurate with the best interest of shareholders.
• Provide effective leadership and guidance in business development for investment and credit products, developing compelling sales and marketing strategies to ensure continuing growth in business volumes following budget.
• Provide leadership and direction for the back-office functions: finance, treasury operations, compliance, legal, information technology, and human resources.
• Coordinate, direct, and control an efficient and effective operations management system to ensure consistent delivery of product promises.
• Implement sound practices to ensure operational efficiency of credit administration processes to minimize the occurrence of non-performing loans, and also be responsible for the performance of credit portfolio in line with regulatory standards.
• Ensure full compliance with all regulatory and corporate policies and regulations.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree or its equivalent in Banking and Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or any other quantitative discipline.
• A Master’s degree or/and professional certification will confer additional advantage.
• 10 - 15 years’ experience in bank or non-bank financial institutions; a minimum of 5 of those years should be at senior management level in the financial sector.
• Extensive knowledge of marketing, treasury management, credit administration, and operations of a financial sector.
• Proven track record of success in initiating/creating revenue-generating business and marketing activities.
• Strong business and relationship management abilities.
• Good ethical business orientation.
• Extensive experience in resource management.
