Job Description

• Our client is looking to fill in for an inventory officer who will ensure that all business operations have adequate material to achieve their objective, analyse daily product and supply levels to anticipate inventory problems and shortages whilst managing schedules of employees, customer request and deliveries to optimize efficient operations.
• The Candidate must be very proactive not reactive and able to research the current situation with inventory, make forecast for the future and a backup plan for emergency cases.

Key Responsibilities

• Conversant with software tools for tracking multiple projects
• Devise ways to optimize inventory control procedures
• Inspect the levels of business supplies and raw material to identify shortages
• Ensure product stock is adequate for all distribution channels and can cover
• direct demand from customers
• Record and capture daily deliveries and shipments to reconcile inventory
• Use software to monitor demand and document characteristics of inventory
• Track your stock levels at all times
• Place orders to replenish stock avoiding insufficiencies or excessive surplus
• Analyse data to anticipate future needs
• Evaluate suppliers to achieve cost-effective deals and maintain trust relationships
• Ensure business goals are met and the business isn’t low on supplies.

Key Requirements

• B.Sc / BA in Business Administration, Logistics or relevant industry experience;
• Proven experience as inventory officer or similar position
• Excellent knowledge of data analysis and forecasting methods
• Working knowledge of inventory management software (e.g., ERP)
• Ability to accurately track inventory and create reports
• An analytical mind with strong math skills
• Excellent organizational and planning skills
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities
• Reliable and trustworthy.
