Position Overview

• We are looking for a highly qualified and visionary principal to lead our secondary school.
• The successful candidate will be responsible for providing strategic direction to ensure the overall success of the secondary school.
• The principal will play a crucial role in maintaining high academic standards, fostering a positive learning environment, and promoting the school's values.

Key Responsibilities

• Leadership and Vision: Provide visionary leadership to the school community, guiding the development and implementation of educational programs that align with our mission and values.
• Academic Excellence: Oversee curriculum development, ensuring it meets high academic standards and promotes a well-rounded education for students.
• Develop relevant strategies for improvement. Ensure a consistent and continuous school wide focus on pupils’ achievement which reflects the agreed vision and values, using data and benchmarks to monitor progress in every child’s learning
• Staff Management: Assist to recruit, develop, and evaluate teaching to maintain a high-performing team.
• Take a strategic role in the development of new and emerging technologies to enhance and extend the learning experience of pupils and staff
• Community Engagement: Build and maintain positive relationships with parents, students, staff, and the wider community to create a supportive and collaborative school environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Education, a Master’s degree is preferred with TRCN.
• A minimum of 12 years of relevant experience in education, 5 years as a principal or vice principal.
• Strong understanding of the Nigerian and the British educational system and curriculum for secondary school.
• Have a good command of English and be ICT compliant.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proven ability to lead and inspire a diverse team.
