Job Title: Java Developer

Location: Lagos

Job Objectives

• We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Java Developer to join our dynamic development team. As a Java Developer, you will have the opportunity to work on exciting projects, developing high-quality, scalable, and innovative software applications.
• Your expertise will contribute to the full software development life cycle, from concept and design to testing and deployment.

Principal Duties / Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain Java applications that are high-volume and low-latency, for mission-critical systems.
• Contribute in all phases of the development lifecycle, ensuring the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of the applications.
• Write well-designed, efficient, and testable code.
• Conduct software analysis, programming, testing, and debugging.
• Manage Java and Java EE application development while providing expertise in the full software development lifecycle, from concept and design to testing.
• Support continuous improvement by investigating alternatives and technologies and presenting these for architectural review.

Job Requirements
Education:

• Bachelor's / Master's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related subject.

Experience:

• Proven experience as a Java Developer, with a solid understanding of object-oriented programming.
• Familiarity with Java GUI frameworks like Swing, SWT, or AWT is advantageous.
• Deep knowledge of Java and Java EE platforms, along with experience in developing web applications using popular web frameworks (e.g., JSF, Wicket, GWT, Spring MVC).
• Expertise in relational databases, SQL, and ORM technologies (JPA2, Hibernate).
• Experience with test-driven development and proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git.
• Familiarity with build tools (Ant, Maven, Gradle) and continuous integration.
