Job Summary

• As a Junior Retail Buyer, you will be responsible for selecting and purchasing products to be sold in the retail store. You will work closely with the Senior Retail Buyer to develop and execute purchasing strategies that align with the company's overall objectives.
• Your role will involve analyzing sales data and market trends to make informed decisions about which products to stock, negotiating prices and terms with suppliers, and managing inventory levels to ensure optimal stock levels.

Responsibilities
As a Junior Retail Buyer, you will:

• Collaborate with the Lead Retail Buyer to develop and execute purchasing strategies that align with the company's overall objectives.
• Analyze sales data and market trends to identify opportunities for growth and make informed decisions about which products to stock.
• Negotiate prices and terms with suppliers to secure the best possible deals.
• Manage inventory levels to ensure optimal stock levels and minimize waste.
• Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely delivery of products and resolve any issues that may arise.
• Monitor and report on sales performance, inventory levels, and market trends to identify areas for improvement and adjust purchasing strategies accordingly.
• Participate in product development and selection processes, ensuring that products meet customer demand and align with the company's brand and image.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices to ensure that the company remains competitive in the market.

Must-Have for the Position

• Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain / Procurement, Economics, or a related field.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with a team and across departments.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask.
• Knowledge of retail buying software and systems
