Job Description

• Our client is seeking to hire a highly motivated and experienced Sports Coach to join her team at an international school.
• As a Sports Coach, you will be responsible for organizing and leading sports programs for students, promoting physical fitness, and fostering a love for sports in a supportive and inclusive environment.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the classroom teacher in planning and implementing Sport activities or PE lessons
• Support students during sports activities, ensuring a safe and inclusive environment
• Monitor and provide feedback on student progress and behavior
• Develop and implement a well-rounded sports curriculum, ensuring a variety of sports are covered throughout the school year.
• Plan, organize, and conduct coaching sessions, training drills, and practices for students of different ages and skill levels.
• Provide individualized attention and coaching support to help students improve their skills and reach their full potential in their chosen sports.
• Organize and supervise inter-school sports competitions and tournaments, coordinating with other international schools as necessary.
• Promote a strong team culture and encourage sportsmanship, fairness, and respect among students.
• Monitor and evaluate student performance, providing constructive feedback and guidance for improvement.
• Collaborate with the physical education department to integrate sports activities into the overall curriculum.
• Communicate regularly and effectively with students' parents or guardians regarding their academic progress and development
• Participate in staff meetings, professional development workshops, and school events

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's Degree in Sports Science, Physical Education, or a related field.
• Proven 5-10 years Experience in coaching and training students in a variety of sports
• First aid and CPR certifications are preferred.

Requirements:

• Knowledge of different sports, rules, techniques, and strategies.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate students.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in planning sports programs and schedules.
• Ability to work collaboratively with other coaches, teachers, and staff members.
• Proficient in using educational technology and software
• Knowledge of different teaching strategies and methodologies
• Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with students of diverse backgrounds and learning needs
• Proficiency in English (additional language proficiency is a plus)
• Good understanding of cultural differences and willingness to navigate and embrace diversity
• Flexibility to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
• Dedication to professional growth and continuous learning.
