Job Title: Back-End Developer

Location: Ikeja, Lagos

Job Role

• We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Backend Developer to join our development team.
• In this role, you will be responsible for designing and developing robust and scalable APIs using the Laravel framework.
• Familiarity with Go is an added advantage for this position.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement backend services, APIs, and data integration layers using NestJS as the primary framework. Ensure efficiency, reliability, and adherence to industry standards. Handle data validation, error handling, and authentication/authorization mechanisms. 
• Collaborating with architects and technical leads to define scalable and secure system architecture that aligns with the bank’s requirements and industry best practices. 
• Design and optimize database schemas, write efficient queries, and implement database access layers for seamless data storage and retrieval. 
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code. Conduct unit tests and contribute to automated testing frameworks to ensure code quality and robustness. 
• Document system design. APIs, user interfaces, and implementation details.
• Contribute to internal knowledge sharing platforms and participate in code reviews to maintain quality and foster a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Strong experience with PHP and the Laravel framework
• Experience with RESTful API design and development
• Strong understanding of databases (MySQL, MongoDB, etc.)
• Proficient in Git and version control
• Familiarity with Go is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot and debug issues
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
