We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Senior Valve Technician

Location: Kaduna
Project: KRPC

Main Responsibilities

• The Valve Technician will be responsible for disassembly, repair, new assembly, calibration, modification, and diagnostics of all brands of control valves and instruments.
• Responsible for repair and testing of various valves, including but not limited to ball valves, gate valves, butterfly valves, safety relief valves, etc.
• Ability to do all type of Hydrostatic test and seat leak test accordance with the standard API 598,6D, 527 and ANSI 70-2
• All type of safety valve repair and troubleshoot like conventional, bellow and pilot operated.
• Ability to do read schematic drawing and knowledgeable in accessory mountings.
• Ability to do tubing and calibration.
• Knowledgeable and ability to use loop calibrator and TREX.
• Knowledgeable on lapping techniques and able to use lapping machines to lap faces of valve seats, laps, discs etc.
• Follow all schematics and documented procedures in accordance with all Quality Control, API, ANSI and ASME standards that apply to the job.
• Thoroughly complete all types of positions calibration and documentation associated with testing and repairs.
• Adhere to all site safety and performance requirements.

Educational Qualifications

• B.sc/ HND in Mechanical Engineering.
• 4 - 5 years of experience.

Competencies:

• Ability on Valve testing, overhaul, and Instrumentation.
• Ability to read and interpret Sectional drawings of valves.
