Job Description

• As a Shift In-Charge (Electrical) in the Steel Melting Shop's old side, your primary responsibility will be to oversee and manage all electrical maintenance operations during your shift.
• You will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth functioning of equipment and minimizing downtime due to breakdowns.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for electrical maintenance of shift operations.
• To maintain the Control /Power/Magnet Panels of the EOT Cranes.
• To check and rectify any kind of problems related to Control circuit.
• Will check and maintain the Protection Systems of the EOT Cranes.
• Should be able to check/test the Slipring Motors and take necessary actions during any breakdown.
• To maintain/troubleshoot the Drives/Micro PLC/Field Sensors of the Pollution Systems.
• To maintain/troubleshoot the Hydraulic Pokers /Panels at the Control Room/Melting Floor.
• To Program/Maintain/Troubleshoot the Drive Panels of Doghouse systems.
• To maintain/troubleshoot the Drive Panel of Ladle Transfer Cars.
• To maintain/troubleshoot the Control/Power Panel of the Vibro-feeders
• To check and find out the fault of the PLC of Continuous Caster and rectify the same.
• To Program/Maintain/Troubleshoot the AC Drives of the Continuous Casters
• To maintain/troubleshoot/replace the Field/Process Instruments of the Continuous Caster Machine.
• Will maintain and troubleshoot the fault of Melting Furnace auxiliary systems.
• Will maintain and troubleshoot the basic faults of the Induction Furnace Panels.
• Will be responsible for electrical maintenance of all the equipment with minimum breakdown.
• Ensure preventive maintenance planning and implementation.
• Maintain the preventive maintenance schedules for all the equipment.
• To look after the ISO schedules/formats on a regular basis.
• Will look after the Planning, Issue, and storage of critical spares.
• Will prepare/repair the spares which can be used during any breakdown/shutdown.
• To list out the shutdown/modification/upgradation jobs on regular basis.
• Material planning for the planned shutdowns with respect to planned jobs.
• Ensure minimum stock Inventory with respect to the spares and consumables.
• Coordinate with Melting Furnaces & CCM, Scrap Shear, Screening Machine, Oxygen Plant, Bundling Machine team/department for all the equipment.
• Lead/Coordinate with the maintenance team for any kind ongoing/ breakdown/ shutdown jobs.
• Maintain and update logbook of his shift.
• Implement SOPs as per company standards.
• Ensure PPE usage & housekeeping.
• Train & guide his team on routine repairs, maintenance schedule planning
• To perform additional tasks as required by the reporting Manager.
