Job Title: Network System Engineer

Location: Abuja

Job Summary

• The Network System Engineer specializes in designing, implementing and integrating IP networks and devices.
• This role requires a blend of technical expertise and project management skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the implementation and integration process from project inception through Rough-in, Trim, and finish phases, ensuring that all activities align with project requirements and industry standards.
• Provide technical guidance to the System Installers, overseeing the installation, configuration, and integration of network devices and systems.
• Collaborate with the system designers to address on-site technical challenges and recommend resolutions, ensuring that red line drawings accurately reflect on-site conditions.
• Ensure compliance with installation standards throughout the integration process, maintaining a high standard of quality and performance.
• Conduct system testing and troubleshooting to verify that installed systems meet performance and quality requirements.
• Act as the primary on-site contact for the implementation and integration process, liaising with project managers and clients to address technical concerns and ensure project success.
• Engage in thorough testing and post-installation validation to ensure they meet the Quality of Experience and guidelines.
• Provide detailed system documentation and user manuals in line with recommendations for clear and comprehensive client handover.
• Offer training to clients, emphasizing ease of use and system maintenance, consistent with best practices.
• Stay updated on industry best practices, emerging technologies, and installation standards to enhance the quality of system integration.
• Regular attendance of industry workshops, seminars, and training courses to stay current with evolving technologies and integration techniques.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or a related field.
• Extensive experience in IP networking, including a track record of successful, large-scale projects.
• Strong understanding of installation standards, with a commitment to upholding these standards throughout the integration process.
• Proven leadership skills with experience managing technical teams and providing guidance.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively liaise with professional development requirements: Commitment to continuous learning, with a focus on obtaining or maintaining relevant certifications.

Desirable Skills:

• Expertise in IP networking with a strong foundation in electronics and telecommunication.
• Proficiency in creating detailed system schematics and room layouts.
• Excellent communication skills for effective client interaction and collaboration with project teams
