We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Farm Supervisor

Location: Kaduna

About the Role

• SuperTech Foods is on the lookout for a dedicated Farm Supervisor to oversee our agricultural operations in Kaduna State.
• This role is ideal for someone with a deep passion for agriculture, specifically in the cultivation of maize, soybean, and sorghum.
• As a Farm Supervisor, you will play a critical role in managing our farming activities, ensuring optimal crop production, and maintaining the highest standards of farm management.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day farm operations, ensuring efficient crop management and production.
• Supervise and coordinate activities of farm laborers, providing guidance and training as needed.
• Implement crop management strategies for maize, soybean, and sorghum, including planting, irrigation, pest control, and harvesting.
• Ensure all farming practices are in compliance with government regulations and environmental standards.
• Monitor crop health and soil conditions, making adjustments to cultivation practices as necessary.
• Maintain accurate records of farming activities, including crop yields, labor costs, and operational expenses.
• Collaborate with agricultural specialists to improve farming practices and crop productivity.
• Manage farm equipment and supplies, ensuring they are in good working condition.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Agronomy, Crop Science, or a related field, with a minimum of 3 years of experience in farm management.
• Strong knowledge and practical experience in the production of maize, soybean, and sorghum.
• Proven ability to manage and motivate manual laborers, with a tenacious work ethic.
• Exceptional attention to detail and a high level of integrity.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.

Personality Traits:

• A deep understanding of and passion for agriculture.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and in a variety of weather conditions.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions quickly.
• Commitment to sustainable and ethical farming practices.
• Proficiency in English is mandatory.
• Ability to speak Hausa will be considered an added advantage.
