Job Title: Production Lead

Location: Awka, Anambra
Employment Type: Full-time

Role Description

• This is a full-time on-site Production Lead role located in Awka, Anambra state.
• As a Production Lead, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the production process to ensure efficiency, quality, and safety standards are met.
• You will lead and motivate a team of production workers, manage production schedules, and collaborate with other departments to optimize production processes.
• You are responsible for ensuring that production processes run efficiently and effectively in a safe and timely manner.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate day-to-day manufacturing operations within production plant.
• Manage and lead a team of production workers, ensuring adherence to production schedules and quality standards.
• Monitor production processes to optimize efficiency, minimize downtime, and reduce waste.
• Ensure employee shift schedules are optimal for utilization of available human resources
• Ensure production plans are efficient to meet production targets and minimize waste
• Collaborate with the maintenance team to address equipment issues and ensure smooth production flow.
• Ensure preventive maintenance schedules are strictly adhered to.
• Train, mentor, and evaluate production staff to enhance skills and performance.
• Maintain accurate production records and reports for management review.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and quality control measures.
• Coordinate with other departments, such as procurement, logistics and quality assurance, to meet production goals
• Implement and enforce safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
• Implement procedures to address products defects.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Proven managerial experience (>5 years) within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisionsand apply a proactive approach to addressing production challenges.
• Strong leadership and communication skills to effectively manage and motivate a team.
• Proficiency in using ERP systems and advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
• Proficiency in implementing and enforcing safety protocols and quality control measures.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.
• Proficiency in using Odoo ERP will be an advantage.
• Additional Preference for Onsite Living.
