We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Area Sales Representative

Locations: Port Harcourt, Rivers; Uyo, Akwa Ibom; Calabar, Cross River; Jos, Plateau; and Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Description

  • An Area Sales Representative is responsible for interacting with potential customers within his/her given area of sales and marketing.
  • S/he acts as a point of contact between the customer and business and perform a range of activities from identifying customer needs to fulfilling them by providing the right products and services to them.
  • S/he would be required to have good interpersonal and communication skills in order to perform their duties effectively. Driving growth and revenue would be their primary objective.
  • Meeting with potential and actual clients for sales and marketing, on behalf of the company.
  • Establishing new leads on behalf of the company
  • Demonstrating and presenting products.
  • Provide customers with quotations.
  • Maintaining accurate records.
  • Attend trade exhibitions, events, conferences, and meetings, on behalf of the company.
  • Reviewing Sales Performance.
  • Working towards weekly, monthly and annual targets.
  • Selling products or services to customers, and representing the brand. This can include asking questions to pinpoint the best offerings, giving demos or presentations, and maintaining customer relationships.
  • Reaching out to potential leads through a variety of channels, such as physical reach, email, phone, text, and social media.
  • Negotiating with leads and using persuasion techniques to overcome objections and landing deals that are beneficial to the company, while also providing customers with optimal value.
  • Using a variety of sales strategies and techniques to close deals and achieve their sales goals and targets.
  • Submitting and processing orders to ensure customers receive the products or services they request on time.
  • Participating in company meetings with sales managers and other sales executives. This usually involves providing a recap of recent results and accomplishments to show they’re hitting their quotas.
  • Negotiating contracts and packages.
  • Supervising, managing and overseeing merchandisers/ promoters placed under your care.
  • Gathering market and customer information and provide feedback on buying trends.
  • Coordinating sales efforts with marketing programs.
  • Understanding and promoting company programs.
  • Visiting clients and potential clients to evaluate needs or promote products and services.
  • Answering client questions about credit terms, products, prices and availability.

Qualifications

  • B.Sc in Marketing, Management or related courses.
  • Minimum of 3 years Sales and Marketing experience preferably in Wines and Spirits Sector/FMCG with ability to generate Leads.
  • Candidate should apply base on the location he/she lives as there is no relocation attached to this position.
