Job Description

• We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented individual to join our accounting team as an Account Assistant.
• The successful candidate will assist with various accounting tasks, including but not limited to bookkeeping, financial record maintenance, and administrative support.

Responsibilities

• Assist with day-to-day accounting operations, including data entry, processing transactions, and reconciling accounts.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
• Prepare and issue invoices, bills, and statements to clients and vendors.
• Assist in the preparation of financial reports, such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
• Support the month-end and year-end close processes by ensuring all transactions are properly recorded and reconciled.
• Assist in the preparation of tax returns and compliance documents.
• Provide administrative support to the accounting team, including filing documents, answering phone calls, and responding to inquiries.
• Collaborate with colleagues to improve accounting processes and procedures.
• Adhere to company policies and procedures, as well as accounting regulations and standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor or management.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred. Relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of a Degree.
• Proven experience in an accounting or finance role is desirable.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new challenges and responsibilities.
