We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Interior Designer

Location: Lekki, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Responsibilities

• Undertaking design project from concept to completion
• Defining project requirements and schedule during the “brief”
• Interpreting and translating customer needs into rough plans
• Visiting job sites to analyze space availability, design needs, and the purpose of the space.
• Attending client meetings to understand the design needs and client preferences regarding interior styles and colors.
• Creating initial design sketches, color themes, and ideas based on client requirements and space availability.
• Research and decide on materials and product sourcing.
• Create 'mood boards' to sample design vision. Produce “sample” and “mood products.”
• Supervise work progress.
• Work closely with designers, decorators, architects, and constructors
• Hiring or following up with contractors and vendors to implement design ideas, such as Carpenters, Painters, Plumbers, Electricians, and Artists
• Overseeing the buying process of all raw materials and items required to complete the project.
• Arranging client visits and keeping everyone involved in the project appraised of its progress.
• Ensuring project completion within the allocated budget and timeline
• Inspect design after completion to determine whether client goals have been met.
• Research and follow industry changes, evolutions, and best practices.

Requirements
Education:

• A Post-graduate / Master's Degree in Interior Design or related field.
• Excellent computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Experience:

• 6 - 7 years of relevant working experience
• Project management experience.
• Familiarity with Interior Design business principles
• Proven working experience in decorating interior spaces (consultations, renovations, space planning and new constructions)
• Expertise in layout, colour, lighting, materials selection, custom furniture, and all installations.
