Tavistock Global Resources Limited is a diversified company with different subsidiaries ranging from commodity trading and the provision of technical services to companies mainly in the oil and gas industry.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Business Development Officer

Location: Lekki, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Responsibilities

• Researching and identifying new business opportunies, sales leads, potential clients, and market trends.
• Building and maintaining relationships with existing and new clients.
• Conducting market research to identify potential industries and sectors for business expansion.
• Developing and implementing sales and marketing strategies to reach out to potential clients.
• Collaborating with the sales team to develop customized proposals and presentations to attract new businesses.
• Attending conferences, meetings, and industry events to network and promote the company's services.
• Negotiating contracts and pricing with prospective clients.
• Providing timely and accurate reports to management on sales activities, forecasts, and market analysis.
• Monitoring competitors and staying updated on industry trends to identify opportunities for business growth.
• Collaborating with internal teams to ensure a smooth transition from business development to the delivery of services.

Required skills and qualifications

• B.Sc / BA in Business Administration, sales or relevant field
• Minimum of 3 years proven working experience as a business development officer, sales executive or a relevant role.
• Proven sales track record and experience in developing proposals.
• Experience in customer support is a plus
• Proficiency in MS Office and CRM software (e.g. Salesforce)
• Proficiency in English
• Market knowledge
• Communication and negotiation skills
• Ability to build rapport
• Time management and planning skills.
