Technology for Social Change and Development Initiative is a non-profit organization founded in 2016. Tech4Dev was established to empower African communities with digital skills that will bridge the gap of unskilled labour needed for the future of work.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Digital Media Associate

Location: Lagos
Job Type: Full time

Responsibilities

• Research industry-related topics (combining online sources, interviews and studies)
• Write clear marketing copy to promote our programs and activities
• Prepare well-structured content for all Tech4Dev’s platforms
• Proofread and edit Tech4De’v’s blog posts before publication
• Write the monthly newsletters and create a draft of the monthly calendar
• Submit work to the Communications Lead for input and approval
• Collating and analyzing current communications and messages and ensuring consistency
• Coordinate with the social media and design team to illustrate articles
• Collaborate with the Research and Programs teams
• Conduct simple keyword research and use SEO guidelines to increase web traffic
• Promote content on social media
• Responsible for generating content for all communication materials as well as curating and managing Tech4Dev’s Newsletters and blog(s).
• Identify needs and gaps in our content and recommend new topics
• Ensure all-around consistency (style, fonts, images and tone)
• Uploading content to multiple platforms
• Strong writing, editing, proofreading, layout and design, and professional printing/publishing skills are essential, including the ability to present concepts verbally
• Develop communication strategies for initiative launches and advocacy.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Communications or any relevant field of study
• Minimum of 2 years of working experience as an experienced Digital Media Professional.

• Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into technical requirements.
