Job Title: Head of School

Location: Wuye, Abuja (FCT)
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Description and Responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategic plans to ensure the achievement of the school’s vision and mission.
• Ensure proper budget management, allocate resources efficiently, and ensure financial accountability.
• Recruit, train, supervise, and evaluate teachers and staff members to maintain a positive work environment.
• Collaborate with teachers to implement the curriculum to promote learners success.
• Enforce school policies and procedures to maintain a safe and respectful learning environment.
• Foster positive relationships with parents and community to support the school’s vision and mission.
• Facilitate consistent professional development training for teachers and staff to stay updated on best practices.
• Oversee the maintenance and improvement of school facilities.
• Ensure the effective implementation of Individualized Education Plan of special needs learners.
• Coordinate standardized testing and assessment process to evaluate learners competence and progress.
• Act as the spokesperson for the school, representing its interests to the broader community.

Job Qualifications and Skills

• A Masters Degree in Education, educational leadership or related field.
• A teaching and educational administration certification.
• A minimum of 5 years experience as a teacher and school administrator.
• A good knowledge of state and federal educational policies and regulations.
• High proficiency in English Language; speaking, writing, reading and listening.
• Strong leadership and management skills to oversee the daily operations of the school.
• Strong organizational skills to manage various aspects of school administration, including scheduling, budgeting and resource allocation.
• Knowledge of curriculum development and the ability to work with teachers to enhance educational programs.
• Strong interpersonal and networking skills to build positive relationships with students, parents, teachers, and other staff.
• Proficiency in educational technology for administrative purposes and to support teaching and learning.

Salary
N100,000 - N200,000 monthly
