Job Title: Project Manager

Location: Victoria Island, Lagos

Job Description

• Managing ongoing projects so that all project requirements, deadlines, and schedules are on track.
• Collaborating with the team to verify project scope, budget, specifications and deliverables.
• Determining the resources needed for each project (manpower, equipment and materials) from start to finish bearing in mind the budget allocations for them
• Prepare budget based on the scope of work and resource requirements
• Negotiating contracts with external vendors and 3rd parties to reach profitable agreements
• Tracking of project costs to avoid going over the budget
• Developing and managing a detailed project schedule and work plan for all aspects of the project
• Providing project updates and detailed reports consistently to the Creative Director on progress, adjustments, plans and budget
• Communicating and monitoring expected deliverables from vendors, 3rd party contractors and suppliers.
• Ensuring that all permits and licenses are obtained from appropriate authorities
• Ensuring health and safety compliances are adhered to
• Proactively planning to stock and monitor equipment and materials
• Supervising site workers, site supervisors, artisans, 3rd party contractors, etc.
• Use appropriate verification techniques to manage changes in project scope, schedule and costs
• Evaluating the performance of a project with appropriate systems, tools and techniques and identifying areas for improvement
• Creating and maintaining a comprehensive project documentatio

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture, Construction, Construction Management, or Engineering
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification. Experience
• 3 years of post-degree experience
• Familiarity with relevant design software
• 3-8 years’ Experience in managing construction projects Professional certification
• Relevant professional certification from a recognized body will be an added advantage
