Job Title: Reinsurance Manager

Location: Lagos

Responsibilities

• Manage all communications related to reinsurance, ensuring accuracy and compliance with
  industry standards.
• Oversee the placement of facultative reinsurance for both inward and outward coverage.
• Coordinate the recovery process for facultative outward claims, ensuring timely and accurate
  settlements.
• Prepare and submit quarterly returns for treaty reinsurance arrangements.
• Manage the recovery of cash calls associated with treaty reinsurance agreements.
• Lead the annual arrangement and negotiation of treaty reinsurance agreements.
• Ensure the timely and accurate submission of yearly treaty documentation to the National
  Insurance Commission (NAICOM).
• Maintain and reconcile bordereaux for outstanding treaty claims.
• Manage and analyze bordereaux for paid losses under treaty reinsurance.
• Oversee the technical accounting aspects of reinsurance, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Prepare and submit quarterly returns to NAICOM, ensuring adherence to regulatory
  requirements.
• Conduct an in-depth analysis of the company's reinsurance portfolio to assess the effectiveness
  of coverage.

Requirements

• BSc / HND in Insurance and other related field.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in reinsurance.
• ACII Certification is a plus.
• Possess a deep understanding of the legal and regulatory framework governing insurance
  business.
• Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of general insurance principles and best practices.
• Proficient in underwriting management and claims processing within the reinsurance
  context.
• Utilize IT applications effectively in managing reinsurance processes.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively
  across different teams and levels of the company.

Salary
N400,000 monthly.
