Job Title: Drilling Supervisor

Location: Nigeria

Description 

• We are looking to recruit a formidable well Engineering team for an up coming project.

Responsibilities

• Daily drilling activities: Supervising and coordinating the execution of drilling activities daily, including the operation of onshore andoffshore drilling rigsand equipment such as (mud pumps,solid control equipment, etc..)
• Communication and coordination: Facilitating effective communication between drilling crews, contractors, service providers, and other relevant parties to ensure the seamless flow of information and resources.
• Safety procedures: Enforcing and promoting adherence to safety rules and regulations to create a safe work environment for all personnel involved in drilling operations.
• Optimization and efficiency: Identifying opportunities for process improvement and implementing strategies to optimize drilling operations.
• Supervise the execution of the drilling/workover/testing/completion program
• Plan ahead to determine future requirements for drilling equipment and consumables
• Liaise with the logistic base to communicate future supply / back-load requirements
• Report progress made on a regular base with the superintendent in town
• Prepare and provide drilling, rig and well data to project management office
• Discuss program changes with the superintendent
• Liaise with other departments (e.g. production) to discuss and schedule concurrent operations.
• rig moves,operational success of all operations on the rig; drilling, testing, tree running, workover, etc.
• Ensure that all operations are conducted in compliance with all HSE standards and regulations
• Ensure that the drilling operation is conducted in the most cost effective manner
• Ensure all materials and services are ordered timely
• Ensure that all materials received are of the correct specification (QA/QC).
• Ensure that rental items are returned to shore timely
• Ensure that the job tickets presented for signature are completed properly and times and quantities are correct
• Ensure that conflict between departments is solved rapidly and professionally taking into account the overall interest of the company.
• To ensure the efficient execution of drilling activities, a drilling supervisor follows a systematic approach and implements various strategies.
• They will also oversee the bi-weeklypressure and function test of the BOP, sign off on records and pressure charts, and ensure proper certification is available on-site.
• It is essential for the rig supervisor to review the drilling program before the start of operations. This will assist in ensuring equipment and personnel are capable of error-free work.
• Maintain Regular communication and clear instructions to ensure everyone is on the same operation sequence.
