Job Title: Accountant

Location: Agbeni Ogunpa Market, Ibadan - Oyo

Job Overview

• As an Accountant, you will play a pivotal role in managing financial records, preparing financial reports, and ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations.
• This role involves analyzing financial data, reconciling accounts, and providing insights to support decision-making within the organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including ledgers, journals, and spreadsheets.
• Prepare financial statements, such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, on a regular basis.
• Assist in the development of budgets and forecasts, providing insights and recommendations based on financial analysis.
• Reconcile bank statements, accounts payable and receivable, and other financial accounts to ensure accuracy and identify discrepancies.
• Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement. Provide insights and recommendations to management based on analysis.
• Assist in the preparation for internal and external audits. Provide documentation and support during audit processes.
• Contribute to financial planning and strategic decision-making processes by providing financial insights and analysis.
• Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes, improve efficiency, and enhance internal controls.

Qualifications / Requirements:

• B.Sc / HND in Accounting
• Proven experience in account management, preferably in a retail industry.
• Strong understanding of financial principles, regulations, and procedures.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make informed decisions.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in handling financial transactions.
• Close Proximity to the job location.

Salary
N80,000 - N100,000 / month.
