Job Title: Sales Manager - Metal and Cables

Location: Lekki Phase 1, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Description

  • We are seeking a driven and results-oriented Sales Manager to lead our global sales efforts in the copper wires, cables, rods, and related product lines.
  • The Sales Manager will play a key role in expanding our client base, and be responsible for developing and implementing strategic sales plans to drive revenue growth, expand market share, and foster strong relationships with customers.
  • This is an exciting opportunity for a results-oriented individual with a proven track record in sales leadership.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute comprehensive sales strategies to achieve revenue targets and profitability goals.
  • Conduct market research to identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand our customer base and market presence; stay updated on industry trends.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients through regular communication and personalized service.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, operations, and finance, to ensure alignment and support for sales initiatives.
  • Lead the client procurement process, ensuring we source high-quality products that meets client specifications.
  • Negotiate and finalize contracts with clients, securing the best possible terms for the company.
  • Oversee sales transactions, ensuring timely deliveries and client satisfaction.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to the sales team, including setting performance targets, coaching, and professional development.
  • Manage and motivate a team of sales representatives (if applicable).
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments to identify potential risks and opportunities.
  • Monitor sales performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Prepare and present sales forecasts, budgets, and reports to senior management.
  • Prepare regular sales reports and presentations.
  • Travel domestically and internationally to attend industry events and meet with clients (as needed).

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, International Trade, Marketing, or a related field (preferred).
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in sales management, preferably in the natural ingredients or commodities industry.
  • Proven track record of success in sales leadership roles, preferably in the copper industry or a related field.
  • Proven track record of exceeding sales targets and achieving revenue growth.
  • Strong understanding of sales principles, techniques, best practices, and market dynamics.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to analyze data, identify trends, and develop actionable insights.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software (a plus).
  • Experience in international trade (a plus).
  • Fluency in English and additional languages (a plus).
  • Must be a self-motivated and results-oriented individual with a strong work ethic.
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally (as needed).
