We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Construction Manager

Location: Asaba, Delta
Employment Type: Full-time

Responsibilities

• Project Oversight: Supervise and direct construction projects related to shore protection, erosion control, and road construction from conception to completion.
• Cost Estimation: Review projects in-depth to schedule deliverables and estimate costsaccurately.
• Compliance Monitoring: Oversee all onsite and offsite constructions to ensure compliancewith building codes, safety regulations, and environmental standards.
• Resource Coordination: Coordinate and direct construction workers, subcontractors, andsuppliers.
• Materials Selection: Select appropriate tools, materials, and equipment for each project.
• Inventory Management: Track inventory and manage resources efficiently.
• Reporting: Prepare internal and external reports regarding job status, progress, andchallenges.
• Risk Management: Analyze, manage, and mitigate risks associated with constructionactivities.
• Quality Assurance: Ensure adherence to quality construction standards and properconstruction techniques.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering / Construction Management or related field (preferred)
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in construction management.

Requirements and Skills:

• Experience: Proven working experience in construction management, specifically in shoreprotection, erosion control, and road construction.
• Technical Knowledge: Advanced knowledge of construction management processes,means, and methods.
• Materials Expertise: Expert knowledge of building products, construction details, andrelevant rules, regulations, and quality standards.
• Communication: Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Problem-Solving: Ability to plan ahead, prevent problems, and resolve emerging issues.
• Contract Management: Experience negotiating terms, drafting contracts, and obtainingpermits and licenses.
