Job Purpose / Objectives

• To support the Operations Area Shift Supervisor in the assigned plant area in preparing permit to work, issuing permits, and providing permit oversight function for safe work execution.
• Perform any other function as assigned by Operations Area Shift Supervisor.

Main Accountabilities

• Participate in Job Hazard Analysis and requisite permit attachment review as required in the Permit to Work 8 step cycle, for safe work execution in line with Permit to work procedures and guidelines. Apply the required discipline to provide assurance of high-quality input to the permit to work process to ensure full compliance by both Permit Issuers and Permit Holders
• Carry out Permit verification at NLNG Authorised Gas Safety Tester signatory level for effective permit preparation and issuance for safe execution.
• Support Operations Area Shift Supervisor to carry out equipment and units isolation for maintenance/project tie-ins in accordance with appropriate procedures and prepare permits to work documentations in line with the approved guidelines to ensure that works are carried out in a safe and efficient manner.
• Carry out permit oversight function on issued work permits to ensure compliance to permit conditions.
• Conduct HSE walk about in assigned plant areas to identify any safety improvement action required and to identify any unsafe condition for necessary correction.
• Participate and implement the Flawless Project Delivery, Commissioning and Start-Up of Plant Expansion Projects/Turnaround/Tie-ins activities in the assigned Area.
• Liaise with Operations Readiness Commissiong and Start Up team to ensure that all relevant (P2O) documentation such as Redline Marked-Up Drawings (PEFS), Operations and Maintenance Manuals, Process Control Narratives, Cause & Effects etc are made available to the Shift Operations and stored in the CCR at project final handover
• Perform any other function as assigned by Operations Area Shift Supervisor.

Job Requirements
Education:

• HND or University degree in Chemical Engineering or other Engineering/Science discipline.

Experience:

• A minimum of 8 years of working experience in the Oil and Gas industry with at least 5 years of experience in the required function or a similar job at a senior level in the Oil and Gas industry.
