Electrical Assistant - Instructor at the Institute for Industrial Technology (IIT)

The Institute for Industrial Technology (IIT) is a humanitarian organization. Our aims are not profit oriented rather they are people oriented. We aim at providing proper technical vocational education embedded in values and a conducive learning environment for youths from families with limited resources. We intend to train them, help them develop, and assist them with internship and job placements. We believe that by doing so, we can pull them out of the cycle of poverty and as such they can better help themselves and their families, add value to their workplace and to the society as a whole.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Electrical Assistant - Instructor

Location: Lagos

Entry level: Beginner / Intermediate

Job Description

• To be able to teach Electrical Trades within prescribed duration.
• Prepare resources for modules (courses) based on assigned topics.
• Prepare module manual, instructor guide and organize relevant hand-out notes.
• Manage inventory of module (course) resources.
• Set and supervise assessments and classwork.
• Prepare evaluation report.
• Collaborate with the programme coordinator and faculty to plan, manage, and execute activities according to schedules.
• Contribute to the improvement of the module, etc.

Requirements

• With an Engineering / Technology background or a professional certification in the related field.
• Strong understanding of Electrical principles.
• To show significant experience in the subject.
• Excellent communication skill.
• Strong time management and multitasking abilities.
• To have the ability and a strong desire to impart knowledge.
• Strong ethical value.
• Possess a strong desire towards continuous development.
• Creative and Innovative.
