Sleek de empire began with a vision to create a place to take a pause, an oasis of calm, to escape, retreat and revitalise - naturally. Four years on, we ventured into providing beauty treatments. We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Pedicurist

Location: Damaturu, Borno

Job Description

• Foot Care Services: Perform pedicures, which include trimming, shaping, and polishing toenails, as well as removing calluses, corns, and rough skin from the feet.
• Client Consultation: Consult with clients to assess their foot health, discuss their preferences, and provide recommendations for appropriate foot care treatments.
• Sanitation: Maintain a clean and sanitary work environment by sterilizing tools, disinfecting foot baths, and following proper hygiene protocols to prevent the spread of infections.
• Product Knowledge: Stay updated on the latest nail care products, tools, and techniques to provide high-quality services and recommend suitable products for clients' needs.
• Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service by addressing clients' concerns, ensuring their comfort during treatments, and creating a welcoming and relaxing atmosphere.
• Health and Safety: Adhere to health and safety regulations, including proper handling and disposal of chemicals, maintaining equipment in good working condition, and following ergonomic practices to prevent injury.
• Sales and Marketing: Promote foot care services and retail products to clients, upsell additional services such as foot massages or specialized treatments, and participate in marketing initiatives to attract new customers.
• Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate records of client appointments, treatment histories, and product inventory, and use software or manual systems to manage scheduling and billing processes.
• Professional Development: Pursue continuing education opportunities to enhance skills, stay abreast of industry trends, and obtain relevant certifications or licenses as required by regulatory agencies.
• Team Collaboration: Collaborate with colleagues, such as nail technicians, estheticians, and spa therapists, to coordinate services, support each other during busy periods, and contribute to a positive work environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 1 - 3 years work experience.
• Completion of a cosmetology or nail technician program
• Relevant work experience in a salon, spa, or beauty industry preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Attention to detail and a passion for providing exceptional customer service
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
• Knowledge of foot anatomy, common foot conditions, and sanitation procedures
• Compliance with state and local regulations for cosmetology licensing and sanitation standards

Salary
N30,000 - N40,000 monthly.
