Job Title: Concrete Road Construction Project Manager

Project: 1.5KM Road project including extensions, furniture and motorable road diversion
Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Concrete Road Construction Project Manager to lead the successful completion of a new [length] concrete road project, including the management of a road diversion. This 16-month project requires a detail- oriented professional with a proven track record of delivering high-quality construction projects on time and within budget.
Responsibilities
Lead and manage all aspects of the concrete road construction project, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, quality control, safety, and resource allocation.
Develop and implement a comprehensive project plan, including a detailed work breakdown structure (WBS), schedule, and budget.
Manage the road diversion scope, ensuring smooth traffic flow and minimal disruption to the public.
Secure all necessary permits and approvals from relevant authorities.
Oversee procurement and management of materials, equipment, and subcontractors.
Conduct on site investigations and analyze data (maps, reports, tests, drawings and other).
Carry out technical and feasibility studies with reference to blueprints that satisfy technical specifications
Supervise construction crews and ensure adherence to all safety protocols and regulations.
Implement a robust quality control program to ensure all construction activities meet project specifications and industry standards.
Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify and address any potential issues proactively.
Manage project budget and track all project expenditures.
Develop and maintain clear and concise project documentation, including daily reports, progress reports, and meeting minutes.
Communicate effectively with all stakeholders, including clients, engineers, contractors, subcontractors, and regulatory agencies.
Manage risks and develop mitigation strategies for potential project challenges.
Foster a positive and collaborative work environment for the project team.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management (preferred)
Minimum 15 years of experience in concrete road construction project management
Proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget
Excellent understanding of construction methods, materials, and quality control procedures
Strong knowledge of road diversion planning and implementation
Proficient in project management software (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project)
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills
Strong leadership and problem-solving skills
Commitment to safety and a proven safety record
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs): Quarterly:
Quality: Percentage of completed work meeting project specifications.
Cost: Variance between actual and budgeted project costs.
Schedule: Percentage of project milestones achieved on time.
Reporting: Timely and complete submission of all required project reports.
HSE: Zero Lost Time Incidents (LTI) and proactive implementation of safety initiatives.
Stakeholder Management: Positive feedback from stakeholders regarding communication and project progress.
