Job Title: Concrete Road Construction QA / QC Project Specialist

Summary
We are seeking a meticulous and results-oriented Concrete Road Construction QA/QC Project Specialist to join our team for a 16-month project involving new road construction with expansion and road diversion.
This role is crucial in ensuring the project meets all quality standards and specifications.
Responsibilities
Develop and implement a comprehensive Quality Control (QC) plan for the concrete road construction project, including expansion and road diversion activities.
Conduct and oversee a variety of QC tests on construction materials (soils, aggregates, concrete) and ensure they meet project specifications.
Perform inspections of all construction activities to verify compliance with project plans, specifications, and industry standards.
Identify and document non-conformance issues and work with relevant personnel to implement corrective actions.
Maintain accurate and detailed records of all QC tests, inspections, and non- conformance reports.
Participate in pre-construction meetings and reviews to understand project specifications and quality requirements.
Collaborate with contractors and subcontractors to ensure their QC procedures are aligned with the project plan.
Utilize relevant QA/QC software and tools for data collection, analysis, and reporting.
Prepare clear and concise quality reports summarizing QC test results, inspection findings, and non-conformance data.
Proactively identify potential quality issues and recommend preventive measures.
Stay up-to-date on industry best practices and relevant quality control standards.
Effectively communicate with project stakeholders, including the QA/QC Manager, Project Manager, and contractors, regarding quality issues and reporting.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management (preferred) or equivalent experience in construction QA / QC.
Minimum of 10 years of experience in concrete road construction QA/QC activities.
In-depth knowledge of concrete testing procedures (slump, air content, compressive strength, etc.).
Experience with construction materials testing (soils, aggregates).
Familiarity with relevant QA/QC standards (ASTM, ACI).
Excellent understanding of construction drawings and specifications.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and data analysis tools.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs): Quarterly:
QA / QC Tests: Percentage of completed QC tests meeting established standards.
Quality Reporting: Timely and complete submission of all required QC reports.
Exception Reporting: Number of non-conformance issues identified and reported with effective corrective actions implemented.
Stakeholder Management: Positive feedback from project stakeholders regarding responsiveness to quality concerns and communication of QC activities.
