Industrial Training Fund (ITF) - NECA / Wing Commander Abdullahi Ibrahim Vocational and Technology Institute Technical and Vocational Skills Training

The Wing Commander Abdullahi Ibrahim Vocational and Technology Institute was established in 2012 as a result of the poverty reduction and wealth creation Policy thrust of the former Administration of His Excellency, Umaru Tanko Al-Makura's Bilateral Agreement with the Singaporean Institute of Technical Education (ITE) with a view to providing vocational and technical skills acquisition to the citizen, particularly the youths of the State.

To further demonstrate the commitment and continuity in all uncompleted projects by previous administration, Engr. Abdullahi A. Sule desire to create wealth, generate employment and eradicate poverty, completed the Institute and adequately equipped it with the state of the art facilities and equipment for the training and imparting of relevant and contemporary vocational skills and entrepreneurship capacity for self employment of the youths, women and all citizen of Nasarawa State.

Programme Description
The Industrial Training Fund (ITF) and Nigeria Employers' Consultative Association (NECA), in collaboration with Wing Commander Abdullahi Ibrahim Vocational and Technology Institute, Lafia, Nasarawa invites applications from qualified young Nigerians of sound character an learning potential to undertake three months technical and vocational training in the following areas:

• Information and Communication Technology (ICT)
• Tailoring and Fashion Designing.

Objectives

• This programme aims at training and equipping youths with Technical and Vocational Skills Training for Job Creation.

Programme

• The programme which will be at the Wing Commander Abdullahi Ibrahim Vocational and Technology Institute, Lafia, Nasarawa State is non- residential.
• Candidates, will, therefore, be responsible for their accommodation throughout the duration of the programme.
• Successful candidates will enjoy tuition fee FREE, lunch and monthly stipend to off-set their transportation costs.

Requirements

• Applicants should be between the ages of 18 and 35 years and are required to have a minimum of Secondary School Certificate Examinatio NECO or NABTEB)
• In addition, good numerical ability and fluency in communication skills will be an added advantage.

Entrance Examination
Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted to come for a test and should bring along the following:

• 2 passport size photographs
• Original Birth Certificate
• Educational Qualification Certificate (s)
• Original and photocopy of National ID / Voter's Card or International Passport.
