Job Description
The Senior Business Development Manager will be responsible for building and maintaining a robust sales pipeline to expand our client base.
This will involve identifying key business opportunities and segmented prospects.
You will be dedicated to creating and applying effective sales strategies for the team.
Your objective is to ensure the team meets or exceeds the organization’s annual quota and increase revenue.
Responsibilities
Identify opportunities in target markets for NerdBug’s products and services.
Generate leads through several means e.g cold calling prospective clients, pitching to our desired target audiences, attending strategic events and other value-adding activities.
Provide training, coaching and professional development to the sales team.
Assist sales team members to build quality relationships with customers.
Collaborate with other departments, such as marketing, finance, product etc to offer customer support.
Develop strategies for increasing market share.
Ensure that sales team members follow up with potential customers.
Generate reports and data for sales analysis.
Handle escalated client objections and concerns to support other members of the sales team.
Create sales goals and implement initiatives to increase sales.
Exceptional communication skills to provide leadership to the team and support customers.
Develop and nurture relationships with key customer accounts.
Keep up with the latest industry developments, including market positioning of corporate competitors.
Develop and implement sales strategies, client service and retention plans, and analysing sales data to inform or update marketing strategies.
Assist with drafting business plans, sales pitches, presentations, reference material, and other documents as required.
Share insightful feedback with the growth team based on customer interactions.
Qualifications
Essential Skills:
Bachelor's Degree in Business Development / Marketing, or similar field.
Master of business administration degree (MBA) or relevant master’s degree (Optional).
Proficiency in integrated business management and CRM software, including ProWorkflow and SalesForce.
Advanced knowledge of business development and sales strategies.
Experience in identifying profitable business opportunities and potential clients.
Proven ability to increase competitiveness and market share.
Ability to develop and maintain strong customer relations.
Competency in researching sales leads, presenting proposals, and negotiating deals.
Ability to advise on strategic industry partnerships.
Extensive mentoring and leadership qualities to train and develop sales team members.
Specification:
Captivating communication skills.
Excellent Interpersonal skills.
Familiar with the use of presentation tools.
Stakeholder management with proven experiences of managing upward, lateral and downward relationships.
Experience:
3 years experience in a similar role.
Previous experience as a business development analyst in a related industry.
Results driven experience in a tech company or a fast-paced organization would be a bonus.
