Job Description

• The Network Engineer will be an integral part of our team, working around the clock to maintain, optimize, and safeguard our expansive network infrastructure.
• This role reports to the Technical Director and collaborates closely with team members, tackling challenges, and ensuring uninterrupted service for customers. The duties include working closely with network users to solve problems, administering networks and related computing systems, and protecting data and software.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and deploy network solutions that meet customer and business needs.
• Evaluating user requirements and designing system architecture and parameters
• Configure, troubleshoot, and maintain network equipment, including routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers.
• Monitor network performance and swiftly address any anomalies or issues that arise during your shift.
• Maximizing network performance by monitoring activity, troubleshooting, scheduling upgrades, and collaborating with network architects
• Ensure network security measures are upheld and assist in responding to security incidents.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of network architecture, standards, and best practices.
• Keep up-to-date with the latest networking trends and technologies to contribute to innovation

Requirements

• Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in network administration.
• CCNA certification (or any other related associate network certification).
• Cloud networking experience (Amazon and Azure cloud background highly desired)
• Good working experience with wireless access point
• Good knowledge and understanding of routing protocols
• Good knowledge and experience with multiple vendor equipment, such as HP, Cisco, Sonicwall, Watchguard, Fortinet, etc.
• Dedication to accurate supporting documentation and diagrams
• Solid understanding of OSI or TCP/IP model.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills

Required Skills:

• Having a grasp of networking fundamentals, like TCP/IP, OSI model, routing, switching, subnetting and VLANs
• Capable of designing and implementing scalable and dependable network architectures that can manage traffic volumes while ensuring minimal delays for users.
• Traffic Management: Skilled in optimizing network traffic to enhance performance, reliability, and cost efficiency using methods like traffic shaping, load balancing, and Quality of Service (QoS) setup.
• Understanding the importance of peering agreements with ISPs and network providers to facilitate traffic exchange and routing.
• Monitoring Tools: Experience utilizing monitoring tools like SNMP (Simple Network Management Protocol), NetFlow, and Syslog for real-time monitoring, performance evaluation, and issue troubleshooting.
• Strong customer service skills to effectively communicate with customers, understand their requirements, and troubleshoot connectivity issues in a timely manner.
