Job Title: Mobile App Developer

Location: Victoria Island, Lagos (Hybrid)
Employment Type: Contract (3 months)

Job Description

• We are seeking a talented and experienced Mobile App Developer to join our dynamic team on a 3-month contract. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in developing eLearning mobile applications that are SCORM compliant for Android and iOS devices. The primary focus will be on developing a mobile app capable of playing SCORM-based courses, returning results to the LMS, resuming courses from the last point of interaction, and retrieving information from the LMS using APIs.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop SCORM Compliant eLearning Android and iOS Apps: Design and develop eLearning mobile applications for both iOS and Android platforms that can play SCORM-compliant courses and return data to the LMS.
• Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with designers, product managers, and other developers to define, design, and implement new features.
• Ensure App Performance and Quality: Optimize the performance, quality, and responsiveness of the applications to provide a seamless user experience.
• Identify and Fix Issues: Troubleshoot, identify, and resolve bugs and performance bottlenecks in the application.
• Maintain Code Integrity: Ensure that code is well-structured, maintainable, and follows best practices.
• Implement New Technologies: Continuously research, evaluate, and integrate new technologies to improve development efficiency and app functionality.
• API Integration: Develop functionalities to get information from the LMS using APIs and ensure smooth communication between the app and LMS.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum Experience: At least 2 years of professional experience in mobile app development.
• Experience: Proven experience in mobile app development with a focus on eLearning applications.

Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in developing mobile applications for iOS and Android platforms.
• Strong knowledge of SCORM standards and experience in implementing SCORM-compliant courses.
• Experience with integrating and retrieving data from LMS using APIs.
• Familiarity with version control systems, such as Git and bitbucket.
• Problem-Solving Skills: Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
• Collaboration: Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
• Communication: Strong communication skills to interact with team members and stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with popular mobile development frameworks such as React Native or Flutter.
• Knowledge of user interface design principles and best practices.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
