Job Title: Head of Product Management

Location: Lagos

Job Description

• Role is to increase the company's success within existing product lines.
• The spectrum of tasks ranges from product innovations to optimizing the efficiency of existing products.
• In addition to this, the role will lead a team of product managers, develop visions and sustainable strategies in order to build on the success in close co-operation with all company departments.

Key Responsibilities

• Strategic planning and management of the entire product portfolio
• Engage with Business Team to craft and develop innovative products and solutions that anticipate or respond to market and customer generated insights
• Ensure compliance to proper product documentation and product development process
• Facilitate periodic product knowledge workshops for Business Team
• Recommend product growth imperatives and make business case to the Management
• Define and align the vision, strategy and roadmap, for each product
• Define and monitor relevant product KPIs with control measures to achieve set objectives
• Monitor all product performances over their life cycle and proffer advice on product retention
• Create product pitch decks and present visionary innovations to Management and/or Investors
• Lead product management team of product managers, business analysts, data analysts et al
• Work closely with the PMO and Development Teams to plan and develop products with agility
• Enhance and redesign existing products and solutions to better suite market demands

Qualifications

• Cognizance experience in startup, preferably in tech space
• Background and experience in product management: design and development
• Proven track record of managing all aspects of a successful product throughout its lifecycle
• Proven ability to develop product and marketing strategies and effectively communicate recommendations to executive management
• Sound knowledge and understanding of business and technology
• Skilled at working effectively with cross functional teams in a matrix organization
• Excellent leadership and people skills
