• This is a full-time Senior Principal Java Backend Engineer role in Lekki, Lagos.
•  You will design and develop high-quality back-end web applications and software solutions; build and manage effective and scalable systems; and apply your knowledge of object-oriented programming (OOP), object-oriented design (OOD), and test-driven development.
•  This is a hybrid role, where you will primarily be in our Lekki-Ikate office but have the flexibility to work from home.
•  The successful candidate will be working as a part of the Scrum team on human resources and financial applications.

Responsibilities

• Conducting code reviews to ensure written code follows good practices and falls in line with the project objectives.
• Delegating tasks to teammates and following up on their progress to prevent blockers and keep development in motion.
• Work closely with Front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic. 

Roles

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• A Master’s Degree is an added advantage.
• Designing, creating, and implementing Java-based applications with extensive knowledge of spring frameworks such as Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, Spring Security, and Spring Data.
•  Years of Experience: 10+ years
• Highly experienced in designing the separation of functional into microservices and the end-to-end integration and flow between technical components.
• Ability to design and implement complex back-end systems.
• Proficiency in Java programming languages with over 10 years of verifiable experience building in the Fintech, Payment, Financial, Accounting, and Insurance Application.
• Strong Knowledge of database technologies such as T-SQL, MySQL, Oracle, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB.
