New Education Consult is a consulting firm for various schools in Lagos state. We are professions that seek to recruit high flyers in the labour market for our clients. Our clients range from Primary to Secondary School with both day and boarding faciliities with international standards. Curriculum are Nigerian, British and American taught at various levels. We ensure that employed candidates are treated as guided as the Nigerian Labour Law and international best practices.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Head of Business Development and Marketing Communication

Location: Ikeja, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Main Responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive business development and marketing communications strategies.
• Develop and implement effective strategies to recruit key target groups and feeder schools
• Plan and implement a programme of communication with the school’s key relations: Primary school leaders, media (editorial and advertising), etc. through school publications as well as presentations and events
• Develop and implement a strategy for establishing the school regionally and nationally as a leader in the provision on 21stcentury education
• Tracking marketing activities, monitoring markets trends, and conducting regular research, reviews and marketing data analysis
• Secure and manage viable partnerships and sponsorships for school programs and activities.
• Oversee all corporate communications, including public relations, media relations, and internal communications.
• Manage the creation and distribution of press releases, marketing materials, and other communication collateral.
• Manage all advertising activities on conventional and online channels, including ensuring a vibrant social media presence
• Oversee the development of the school’s website to ensure that it is regularly maintained and updated and pertinent to target audiences
• Manage alumni relations
• Develop and manage budgets for business development and marketing activities, and ensure cost-effective allocation of resources.
• Develop crisis communication plans and manage communication during emergencies or significant events.
• Lead and mentor a high-performing team of business development and marketing professionals.
• Develop and implement a strategy for wider community (within and outside the school) engagement.
• Communicate regularly with senior leadership on strategy progress and results.

Person Specification

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in business development and marketing communications, with at least 5 years in a leadership role, preferably within the educational sector
• Proven track record of driving business growth and successfully managing marketing communications campaigns.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to think strategically and execute methodically.
• Proficiency in digital marketing and social media platforms.
• Strong analytical skills and experience with data-driven decision making.
