Senior Manager - Treasury at Leatherback

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Senior Manager - Treasury

Location: Victoria Island, Lagos
Employment Type: Full Time

Responsibilities

• Buy and sell currencies to leverage the opportunities presented by anticipated market movements, based on identified FX gaps, in line with existing policies and without breaching stipulated trading limits.
• Manage risk across the various currencies/currency pairs, including G10 and other emerging market currencies, for which quotes are provided.
• Maintain and improve established and new relationships with partner FX institutions, accept trade orders, and grow trade volume pricing.
• Review reports and stay updated on relevant financial, economic, and political news items
• Liaise with relevant teams for prompt settlement of trades executed and conduct daily reconciliation of position across all currencies held.
• Daily interaction with the sales team and customers regarding order placement and execution
• Maintains an excellent level of customer service with clients, both internal and external.

Treasury Operations:

• Ensuring accurate and timely reporting of Treasury activities.
• Develop and implement Treasury policies, procedures, and controls.

Client Interaction Management:

• Manage and oversee client interactions through digital platforms such as Telegram and WhatsApp.
• Ensure timely and professional responses to client inquiries, maintaining a stipulated turnaround time.
• Address client concerns and provide solutions related to Treasury services and financial transactions.
• Maintain accurate records of client communications and interactions.

Cross-functional Collaboration:

• Collaborate closely with internal teams such as sales, operations, and product development to ensure alignment on client objectives and priorities.
• Coordinate the resolution of client issues and challenges by engaging appropriate stakeholders and resources.

Strategic Planning:

• Provide strategic insights and support to the CEO and executive team on Treasury-related matters.
• Participate in financial planning and analysis, contributing to the company’s financial strategy.

Team Leadership and Development:

• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of treasury professionals.
• Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture within the treasury team.

Qualifications and Experiences

• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
• Proven track record of at least 5 years in treasury and operations management within the FinTech space.
• Experience in the financial services industry, preferably in a foreign exchange trading role
• Strong negotiation, interpersonal, and relationship management skills.
• Strong work ethic and emphasis on attention to detail
• Experience with standard productivity tools, including Google suite

Skills and Attributes:

• Proven experience in client relationship management, particularly via digital platforms like Telegram and WhatsApp.
• Strong knowledge of treasury operations, cash management, and financial instruments.
• Experience with treasury management systems and financial software.
