Job Summary

• The Eelectrical, Instrumentation and Controls Engineer is responsible for the design, construction, installation and commissioning of power and industrial control systems (generators, electric motors/drives. actuators, servomotors, transformers, UPS, etc) instrumentation and the performance of preventive and corrective maintenance activities and wide variaty of equipment.

Responsibilities

• Design and implementation of High Voltage and Low Voltage electrical power systems.
• Installation, repairs and carrying out of preventive, corrective maintenance services on diesel engine generators (between 100KVA and 1000KVA).
• Troubleshooting and repair of electrical faults with reciprocating engine compressors and screw compressors in the 7.5hp, 10hp, 50hp etc range.
• Performing of basic instrumentation, electrical fault findings and resolution in electric motors, compressors, chillers, motors, boilers, etc.
• Monitoring of stock level of all manitenance suppliers and proactively reporting on low stock for prompt replenishment.
• Compilation of periodic activity and performance reports.
• Performance of other dutues as maybe assigned by the manager.

Qualifications

• B.Sc / HND in Electrical & Electronics Engineering from a reputable tertiary institution.
• Minimum of 4 years experience in a similar position.
• Basic knowledge of discipline design standards, Codes and Specifications.
• Basic knowledge of appropriate engineering softwares (AutoCAD, MATLAB)
• Knowledge of PLC Programming
• Knowledge of CAT Diesel generators is an added advantage
• Knowledge of Computer Numerical Controlled (CNC) machines and equipment is hirely desired.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
