Job Summary

• The Chief Technical Officer (CTO) will be responsible for overseeing the technical aspects of the company, driving technological innovation, and ensuring the efficient operation of all technical functions.
• The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in the telecoms sector, with a strong preference for those with experience in the towerco space within Nigeria or other emerging markets.

Job Responsibilities

• Develop and implement the technical strategy aligned with the company’s goals.
• Lead the technical team, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.
• Stay abreast of industry trends and advancements to drive technological improvements.
• Oversee the maintenance and development of the company's technical infrastructure.
• Ensure the reliability, scalability, and security of all technical operations.
• Manage relationships with vendors and suppliers to secure the best terms and ensure quality service.
• Lead the planning and execution of technical projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and within budget.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure technical support aligns with business needs.
• Ensure all technical operations comply with local and international regulations.
• Develop and implement policies and procedures to maintain compliance and best practices.
• Recruit, mentor, and develop technical staff to build a high-performing team.
• Promote continuous learning and professional development within the technical team.

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field; Master's Degree preferred.
• Extensive experience in the telecoms sector, with significant leadership experience.
• Strong preference for candidates with experience in the towerco space within Nigeria or other emerging markets.
• Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale technical projects.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
