We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: HR Business Partner

Location: Victoria Island, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Description

  • The HR Business Partner (HRBP) is responsible for aligning business objectives with employees and management in designated business units.
  • The position serves as a consultant to management on human resource-related issues, acting as an employee champion and change agent.
  • The HRBP assesses and anticipates HR-related needs, communicating proactively with the HR department and business management.

Key Responsibilities
Strategic Partnership:

  • Partner with senior management to develop and implement effective HR policies and practices that support the strategic growth of the business.
  • Understand the business goals and recommend new approaches, policies, and procedures to effect continual improvements in business objectives, productivity, and development of HR within the company.
  • Act as a change agent, working closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention.

Talent Management:

  • Assist in talent acquisition and recruitment processes, ensuring the company attracts, hires, and retains the best employees.
  • Develop and implement effective onboarding plans.
  • Provide guidance and input on business unit restructures, workforce planning, and succession planning.
  • Identify training needs for business units and individual executive coaching needs.

Employee Relations:

  • Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues. Conduct effective, thorough, and objective investigations.
  • Provide day-to-day performance management guidance to line management (e.g., coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions).

Compliance and Risk Management:

  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Monitor and report on workforce and succession planning.
  • Develop and monitor overall HR strategies, systems, tactics, and procedures across the organization.

HR Metrics and Reporting:

  • Analyze trends and metrics in partnership with the HR group to develop solutions, programs, and policies.
  • Maintain HR data and prepare periodic reports for management, as necessary or requested.

Performance Management:

  • Support managers in evaluating performance and providing feedback.
  • Ensure the effective implementation of performance management systems.
  • Promote and facilitate effective performance management practices, including performance reviews and feedback sessions.

Qualifications
Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required. Master's Degree preferred.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 8 years of HR experience, with at least 2 years in an HR Business Partner role.
  • Proven experience in managing HR operations, including recruitment, talent management, and employee relations.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to build strong, effective relationships at all levels of the organization.
  • Strong knowledge of HR laws, regulations, and best practices.
  • Proficiency in HRIS and other HR software.
