Job Description

• This job role provides strategic direction for the company's operation by procuring qualitative goods, and services. 

Job Responsibilities

• Defines and develops a comprehensive end-to-end Supply Chain strategy including performance benchmarks in line with the business strategy.
• Oversees the forecasting of demand levels for services and products to meet business needs.
• Ensure procurement of high-value materials and equipment in line with approval. 
• Defines operational strategies to ensure the efficient/cost-effective supply and timely delivery of equipment and materials in compliance with company policies or procedures and statutory regulations.
• Coordinates the identification of risks associated with procurement, facility management, and fleet management to ensure seamless business operation
• Liaises with project owners to monitor the progress and completion of approved projects.
• Accountable for leading procurement activities across IBEDC including new bids and ongoing operational activities.
• Develop contractual arrangements with preferred suppliers recognized for delivering the best value and high-quality service to IBEDC.
• Oversees proper maintenance and upkeep of IBEDC assets (land, buildings, offices, warehouses, stores, vehicles, etc.) - optimize operational assets.
• Liaise with other stakeholders to develop and update Asset Disposal Policy.
• Prepares periodic and ad-hoc reports to relevant stakeholders.
• Perform any other duties as requested by the MD/ CEO. 

Job Requirements

• A Bachelor's Degree in any field.
• Membership of relevant professional bodies.
• Possession of relevant certifications is an added advantage.
• At least 10 years’ experience in supply chain and administration at least 5 years in a supervisory role.

• Adequate knowledge and understanding of the Nigerian Electricity Supply Industry (NESI).

• Experience in developing profitable strategies and implementing vision.
• Familiarity with diverse business functions such as marketing, PR, finance etc.
