Job Title: Web Developer Instructor (Full-stack Developer and Frontend & Backend Developer)

Role Overview

• We are seeking a talented Full-Stack Web Developer Instructor (Part-Time) to join our growing team and play a crucial role in shaping the next generation of web developers.
• You will be responsible for delivering an engaging curriculum and equipping students with the skills and knowledge to excel in the ever-evolving world of web development.

Scope of Work

• The scope of work encompasses delivering assigned courses, crafting engaging materials, facilitating assessments, providing feedback, offering student support, and contributing to program and curriculum development, all while adhering to professionalism, data privacy, and intellectual property standards.

Responsibilities

• Design and create comprehensive learning materials, including lectures, design exercises, tutorials, and assessments, that align with assigned lesson plans and course objectives.
• Deliver web development courses as scheduled, adhering to the outlined syllabus and ensuring all topics are covered comprehensively.
• Demonstrate excellent presentation and communication skills, engaging students effectively and fostering a positive learning environment.
• Possess prior experience in teaching or training, enabling effective delivery of complex subject matter and catering to diverse learning needs.
• Collaborate closely with staff and colleagues, sharing knowledge and resources to enhance the quality of instruction and improve student outcomes.
• Assess student learning using various assessment methods such as assignments, quizzes, and exams, while providing timely and actionable feedback.
• Be accessible to students during designated office hours or by appointment, offering guidance and support throughout their learning journey.

Requirements
Who you are (Requirements)

• 3+ years of professional experience in full-stack web development (both front-end and back-end development).
• Bachelor's Degree in a related field (Computer Science, Information Technology).
• Possess prior experience in teaching or training, enabling effective delivery of complex subject matter and catering to diverse learning needs.
• Proficiency in software and tools such as:
  • Back-end Frameworks: Django/Flask (or similar frameworks for server-side development)
  • Databases: MySQL (or other relational databases like PostgreSQL)
  • Containerization: Docker (for building and deploying containerized applications)
  • JavaScript Frameworks: Node.js
  • Version Control: Git (for managing code versions and collaboration)
  • Code Editors: Visual Studio Code (or other popular code editors like Sublime Text or Atom)
  • Front-End Frameworks: HTML, CSS, and JavaScript libraries like React or Angular, Vue.js.
• Excellent communication (written and verbal) and presentation skills. Ability to effectively deliver complex subject matter to diverse learners.
• Experience with developing and implementing various assessment methods (assignments, quizzes, exams) and providing constructive feedback.
• Strong organizational abilities with a focus on prioritization, meeting deadlines, and maintaining meticulous attention to detail.
• Collaborative spirit and ability to work effectively with colleagues and students to achieve common goals.
