Job Summary

• As an IT and IoT Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in bridging the gap between traditional information technology (IT) and the Internet of Things (IoT). You will enhance the efficiency, connectivity, and data intelligence within the organization by managing IT infrastructure, overseeing IoT implementations, and ensuring seamless integration for optimal business operations.

Key Responsibilities
IT Infrastructure Management:

• Maintain and optimize the organization's IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and storage systems.
• Ensure the reliability and security of IT systems, implementing best practices for data protection and network resilience.

IoT Implementation:

• Plan, design, and implement IoT solutions to improve operational processes and gather valuable data.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify IoT requirements and deploy sensors, devices, and connectivity solutions.

Data Integration and Analytics:

• Develop strategies for collecting, processing, and analyzing data from IoT devices.
• Implement data integration frameworks to merge IoT data with existing IT systems for comprehensive insights.

Security and Compliance:

• Establish and enforce security protocols for IoT devices and networks, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
• Regularly assess and update security measures to protect sensitive data generated by IoT devices.

Interoperability:

• Ensure seamless communication and interoperability between IT and IoT components.
• Evaluate and integrate IoT platforms with existing IT infrastructure, applications, and databases.

Remote Monitoring and Management:

• Implement remote monitoring solutions to oversee the health and performance of both IT and IoT assets.
• Develop proactive measures to address potential issues before they impact operations.

User Training and Support:

• Provide training to end-users on the usage and benefits of IoT devices and applications.
• Offer support for troubleshooting and problem resolution related to both IT and IoT systems.

Scalability and Future Planning:

• Assess the scalability of IT and IoT solutions to accommodate future growth and technological advancements.
• Stay informed about emerging technologies and industry trends to propose innovative solutions.

Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Proven experience in IT infrastructure management and IoT implementation.
• In-depth knowledge of networking, cybersecurity, and IoT protocols.
• Familiarity with IoT platforms, cloud services, and data analytics tools.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
• Relevant certifications in IT and IoT, such as CompTIA IT Fundamentals, Cisco IoT Specialist, or Microsoft Certified: Azure IoT Developer.

Salary
N300,000 - N400,000 monthly.
