Job Description

• We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Managing Director to lead our team and drive the strategic growth and operational success of our civil engineering construction company.
• The ideal candidate will possess a strong blend of leadership, business acumen, technical expertise, and industry knowledge to steer the company towards achieving its goals and maintaining its position as a market leader

Responsibilities
The role includes the following:

• Develop and implement strategic plans to drive business growth, profitability, and market expansion.
• Lead and inspire a high-performing team to achieve company objectives and foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and excellence.
• Identify emerging market trends, opportunities, and risks to inform strategic decision-making and ensure the company remains competitive.
• Oversee financial performance, budgeting, and forecasting to optimize profitability and operational efficiency. Implement effective cost-control measures while maximizing revenue generation and resource utilization.
• Monitor financial metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess company performance and make data- driven decisions.
• Ensure project delivery excellence by maintaining strict adherence to quality, safety, and environmental standards.
• Streamline operational processes and workflows to enhance productivity, minimize risks, and improve project outcomes.
• Foster strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to drive successful project execution and customer satisfaction.
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities, strategic partnerships, and market segments to expand the company's client base and revenue streams.
• Cultivate long-term relationships with existing clients and key industry stakeholders to drive repeat business and enhance the company's reputation.
• Lead business development initiatives, including proposal development, contract negotiations, and client presentations.
• Recruit, develop, and retain top talent within the organization, fostering a culture of continuous learning, growth, and professional development.
• Provide leadership, mentorship, and guidance to senior management and staff, empowering them to excel in their roles and achieve career advancement goals.
• Promote diversity, equity, and inclusion within the workforce, ensuring equal opportunities for all employees.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Business Administration, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
• Proven track record of success in senior leadership roles within the civil engineering construction industry, with at least 15 years of experience.
• Strong business acumen and financial literacy, with a demonstrated ability to drive strategic growth, manage budgets, and optimize financial performance.
• In-depth knowledge of civil engineering construction processes, techniques, and best practices, with a focus on delivering projects on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with clients, stakeholders, and team members.
• Strategic thinker with the ability to anticipate market trends, identify opportunities, and develop innovative solutions to complex challenges.
• Strong leadership qualities, including vision, integrity, decisiveness, and a collaborative approach to problem- solving.
• Proven ability to lead and inspire cross-functional teams, fostering a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
• Relevant professional certifications or licenses may be preferred (e.g., Professional Engineer (PE), Project Management Professional (PMP), etc.).
