Job Summary

• The Security Officer will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of our guests, staff, and property.
• This role requires a detail-oriented individual with a strong sense of integrity, excellent observational skills, and the ability to handle potentially stressful situations calmly and effectively.
• The ideal candidate will have experience in security operations, a thorough understanding of security protocols, and a commitment to providing top-notch customer service.

Key Responsibilities

• Patrols and Monitoring: Conduct regular patrols of the premises to ensure the safety and security of guests, staff, and property. Monitor surveillance cameras and alarm systems to detect and prevent unauthorized activities.
• Access Control: Manage access points to the property, ensuring that only authorized individuals enter. Verify identification and provide access to guests, employees, and vendors as appropriate.
• Incident Response: Respond promptly and effectively to security incidents, alarms, and emergencies. Conduct thorough investigations and document findings in detailed reports. Coordinate with local law enforcement and emergency services as needed.
• Customer Service: Assist guests and staff with security-related inquiries and concerns. Provide directions, escort services, and other assistance to ensure a positive and secure environment.
• Safety Inspections: Conduct regular inspections of safety equipment, including fire extinguishers, alarm systems, and emergency exits. Report and address any safety hazards or maintenance issues.
• Policy Enforcement: Enforce company policies, procedures, and regulations to maintain order and ensure the safety and security of the premises. Address violations and take appropriate action as necessary.
• Training and Drills: Participate in security training programs and emergency drills to stay updated on best practices and emergency response protocols. Share knowledge and provide guidance to new security staff members.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in security, law enforcement, or a related field is preferred.
• Valid security guard license or certification as required by local regulations.
• Strong observational and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to remain calm and composed in stressful situations.
• High level of integrity and professionalism.
• Basic first aid and CPR certification is a plus.
• Availability to work flexible hours.
• Proficiency in English; additional languages are a plus.
