Quality Control Civil Engineer at African Natural Resources & Mines Limited (ANRML)

African Natural Resources & Mines Limited (ANRML) was incorporated in 2012 as part of African Industries Group’s plan to embark on backward integration for its steel production. ANRML started its foray into mining with the acquisition ofa mining lease in Kaduna State. Subsequently, ANRML has also acquired multiple mining and exploration licenses for various minerals at over 15 sites, and exploration activities are being carried out.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Quality Control Civil Engineer

Location: Gujeni, Kaduna
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Description

• Should be well versed with quality control procedures, testing procedures, compaction tests, etc.
• Knowledge of design mix and under standing and maintaining proper mix ratios.
• Inspecting all the work for proper workmanship and alerting the site manager for deficiencies.
• Should lead and enforce quality aspects on all fronts.
• Conducting daily and routinequality tests like compressive strength tests, Seive analysis, compaction tests, Slump tests, etc complete as per stadards.
• Maintain all field records for quality tests and procedures.
• Supervision of field activities as per approved inspection plans, making reports, issuing NCRs, and closing after corrective / preventive actions.
• Implementation of ITP at site as per approved frequency.
• Conducting internal periodical quality audits at the site.

Requirements

• Degree in Civil Engineering or HND
• 3-5 years’ experience in the construction or mining industry.
• Good knowledge of civil design and installation methods for foundations, footers, and industrial or commercial buildings.
• Good communication, leadership, and initiative skills;
• Critical thinking and analytical skills;
• Must be precise, organized, flexible and autonomous.
