Job Description

• We want an individual who possesses an extensive and in-depth understanding of analytical processes, a critical thinker who collects, processes, and performs statistical analyses on large datasets.
• This professional supports business decision-making through data-driven insights, collaborating with other team members and leadership to optimize strategies and drive operational efficiencies.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Interpret data and analyze results using advanced statistical techniques, generating ongoing reports.
• Develop and implement robust databases, data collection systems, and data analytics solutions to enhance statistical efficiency and quality.
• Source, clean, and maintain large datasets from both primary and secondary sources.
• Identify, analyze, and interpret complex data patterns and trends.
• Filter and “clean” data, identifying and correcting code problems through detailed review of reports and performance indicators.
• Collaborate with management to prioritize business and information needs, proposing data-driven solutions.

Qualifications

• B.Sc in Mathematics / Economics / Computer Science / Information Management / Statistics.
• 6+ years post NYSC experience in data analytics
• Industry experience can be an edge.
• Strong proficiency in programming languages like SQL, Oracle, R, MATLAB, and Python.
• Technical expertise in database design, data mining, and segmentation techniques.
• Experience with reporting packages (e.g., Business Objects), programming (e.g., JavaScript, XML, ETL frameworks), and statistical packages (e.g., Excel, SPSS, SAS).
• Proficiency in data processing platforms (e.g., Hadoop, Apache Spark) and visualization software (e.g., Tableau, Qlik).
• Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and accuracy.
• Effective communication, report writing, and presentation skills.
• Proven experience in data analysis and team collaboration.

Key Skills Required:

• Proficiency in automated data extraction from primary and secondary sources.
• Expertise in data cleaning, coding error resolution, and database management.
• Advanced data analysis skills to assess data quality and derive meaningful insights.
• Strong capability in using statistical tools to identify trends and patterns for predictive analysis.
• Competence in assigning numerical values to business functions for performance assessment.
• Experience in preparing management reports highlighting trends, patterns, and actionable insights.
• Collaboration with programmers, engineers, and management to drive process improvements and system modifications.
• Preparation of comprehensive final analysis reports to facilitate informed decision-making.
