Job Description

• To undertake Process engineering design work in with true regard to Safety both in design detail and engineering design execution.
• To carry out design work in compliance with the national, state and client asset Codes & Standards under direction from the Lead Process Engineer.
• To engineer all design work in line with the Process QA manual and Worley's procedures.
• To be innovative in design work with due regard to minimization of cost whilst maintaining technical integrity.
• To undertake all work within the estimated man hour budget and within schedule.
• To assist in the recruitment and development of Process & Graduate Process engineers.
• To keep all Process documentation in a state of readiness for Audit purposes.
• To provide definition of the Process engineering work in the Project, design approach or criteria by skill and experience as directed by the Lead Process Engineer.
• To clearly understand the Codes and Standards applicable to the work carried out and raise deviations where necessary.
• Prior to commencement of any Process work, a Process scope of work (SoW) must be written and agreed with the Lead Process Engineer (or designated representative). The Process SoW must clearly state the work scope, manhours budget and schedule to complete the work.
• Estimate Process manhours for any job using the current TW Process manhour norms.

Job Specific Knowledge

• Experience in the development of process flow diagrams, heat and mass balances and piping and instrument diagrams, and in sizing and specification of equipment including separators, pumps, compressors, heat exchangers and dehydration and sweetening units
• A good working knowledge of the codes and standards relating to the offshore oil and gas industry particularly the API recommended practices and ASME/ANSI pipe and pressure vessel codes
• Expert knowledge of Analysis, simulation, programming and design calculations, Application of knowledge to add value
• Understanding and implementation of engineering and design process Equipment design, specification and procurement activities
• Designs for constructability, commissioning, operations and maintenance, etc.

Industry Specific Experience:

• More than 7 years process engineering experience in design/operations support related to the oil & gas production and processing industries, with at least 4 years in conceptual, FEED and detailed design in the Oil & Gas Industry.

Education - Qualifications, Accreditation, Training:

• Bachelor of Engineering (Chemical Engineering) or equivalent.
• Chartered Engineer (IChemE, IEAust or equivalent) or Member of Appropriate Engineering Institution (or at least applying for membership).
