Job Title: Mechanical Technician

Location: Shagamu, Ogun
Employment Type: Contract

Description
They are looking for a proactive and experienced Mechanical Technician to effectively manage all installation, maintenance repaired operation of mechanical equipment and Maintenance of all machines to give effective output while eliminating downtime in machines.

Responsibilities

• Inspecting machines to detect any faults or defects.
• Troubleshooting malfunctioning equipment and performing the necessary repairs.
• Conducting preventive maintenance on process & packaging machinery to prevent breakdowns.
• Keeping detailed records of work performed, including parts uses and time spend.
• Maintaining accurate records of equipment maintenance and servicing.
• Collaborating with other department such as production, and quality control to ensure seamless packaging operation.
• Adhering to safety regulations and ensuring all equipment is safe to operate.
• Assisting in training new operators on the proper use of packaging equipment.
• Identifying and implementing process improvement to optimize packaging operations.
• Perform why analysis for every breakdown and implement corrective action as per responsibility matrix equipment’s.
• Need to calculate wastage and take corrective action to reduce it.
• Ensure optimal up time for process& packaging m/c, to achieve, zero breakdown, zero Wastage, zero accident.
• Improve MTBF, and MTTR improve efficiency
• Close all the air leakages.

Qualifications and Requirements

• HND, Trade test, ND NABTEC, Degree. in Mechanical Engineering form a suitable institution.
• Area of work: Mixer machine, Filler machine, Packaging machine and Boiler.
• Good knowledge of equipment and machine system.
• Proactive and working without supervision.
• Highly observant and analytical.
• Detailed and Critical thinking oriented.
• Proficient with hand and machining tools.
• Three (3) Years experience from a food manufacturing industry.
