Job Title: Senior Finance Accountant

Job Summary 

• We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Finance Accountant to join our finance team.
• The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and overseeing the financial accounting and reporting functions.
• This role requires a strong understanding of accounting principles, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP or IFRS and internal policies.
• Coordinate the preparation of regulatory reporting.
• Oversee the general ledger, including journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end close processes.
• Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data.
• Assist in the development and implementation of budgets.
• Monitor and analyze budget variances.
• Provide financial forecasts and projections.
• Coordinate with internal and external auditors.
• Ensure compliance with tax regulations and corporate policies.
• Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets.
• Conduct financial analysis and provide insights to support decision-making.
• Prepare ad-hoc financial reports and analyses as needed.
• Mentor and support junior accounting staff.
• Promote a culture of continuous improvement and professional development within the team.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation.
• Assist in the implementation of new accounting systems and software.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA or CMA certification preferred.
• Minimum of 8 -10 years of experience in accounting or finance, with at least 3years in a senior or supervisory role.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Salary
N800,000 Monthly.
